Sam Williams was diagnosed at age 30 with type 1 diabetes. His first thoughts were, “I don’t eat bad & I’m healthy. This is a mistake? ”. It wasn’t until later he found out type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, “I didn’t even know what that meant”.

After dark moments contemplating if life was even worth living anymore, Sam decided the only way to move forward with life was to do exactly that, move forward.
